Stressbuster

You may have glimpsed this on Instagram. It will hopefully be finished in a day or so. A small project to carry around that is larger than granny squares I’m trying out a ‘new to me’ yarn. Scheepjes Colour Crafter. Have you used it? I like it. Sadly I can only buy it via the…

Ups and downs

Life really has a habit of keeping one on their toes. It’s easy to be seduced into thinking that all is fine, and then to be shocked to find that it isn’t. Keeping on an even keel when things are not going to ‘plan’ isn’t easy, but thanks to my faith in the Lord Jesus…

Packages in the post

It’s always good to receive packages in the post, isn’t it? Well, I’ve had two lovely ones this week. I indulged myself! When I was a child I would often stay with my grandmother in Northumberland. It was she who taught me to crochet umpteen years ago. Her home was full of functional crocheted objects…

S L O W L Y Does it!

I’m SO Excited!

Last night I was able to do a few more rows than I expected. This morning I have taken stock….. AND REALISE THAT I’M ALMOST THERE! All being well I will finish the main body of the blanket this weekend. So…. Now I’m thinking about auditioning for the border. I think I’ve decided, but you…

Getting shorter

The rows, that is. I am so encouraged. And this last mix of colours has inspired thought of something else. What happy thoughts !

And after the yellow comes…

This warm orange is called Spice. It lifts the whole strip and tones down the previous row of Sunshine. Next will be … More tomorrow

Yellow, yellow and ..

I’m currently working on 3 rows of citrine. It looks more like a pale lemon here, but in reality it is a glorious sunflower yellow. I’ll also use it in the border.

Looking for a brighter day

The sun is shining this morning, and it’s a glorious autumn day. However, I’ve been thinking about a project for the grey days ahead. These colours should brighten them, don’t you think?
