Finished and presented

I’m pleased to say that the rainbow blanket was finished in plenty of time and presented on the approriate day. Here’s a little slideshow of the finished item. Two more blankets were also needed for Christmas – both equally well received. It’s always a relief, isn’t it!

Almost halfway.

Pleased to say that I am almost half way on this colour block blanket. I’m away this weekend so it will have to wait until next week for further progress. I’m unexpectedly heading for France and Belgium. It’s only a flying visit, if my battery holds out I’ll share some pictures with you next time.

Red and yellow ….

Some colours are really difficult to photograph with the iPhone. There is no blue or violet! It will all become clear in time. Enjoy your New Year if you are celebrating – if not – sleep well! 😉  I’m not sure what I’ll be doing….. but it will probably involve a bottle of red. Happy…

Ready for the New Year

All of a sudden, very unexpectedly, I have a new project. It will be another corner to corner throw, and may run alongside another.   It already has a name. Blanket of Fire. Blog posts aren’t showing on Ravelry for some reason. You will find it here.

I’ve been having fun over the last few days, using my other skills to make the most of the leftovers from some of the crochet. I’ve put together a little tutorial, spread over a few pages to make loading easier. Click here for the first link – I hope you enjoy.

Remember these? They all represent rather a lot of ends of yarn which I’ve been collecting. I had a plan, but had no idea if it would work! What can you do with a bag of indeterminate short lengths of yarn? I’ll tell you all about it in a couple of days. Links are now…

Follow on Bloglovin

Follow my blog with Bloglovin It’s a bad photo but…… This is my favourite scarf, and I’ve decided to base my next throw on this collection of colours. What do you think? Next I’ll purchase the yarn – but that will have to wait a day or two. I’ll need to decide on a pattern…

Colour safety

My last project was made with ‘safe’ colours. This one is too.     I feel the need to bring some ‘danger’ into the choice of my next project 😆
