Home for a rest!

I’ve just had a week of visual delights! Another trip to Norway is something we have been promising for a very long time. We finally made it! I’ll probably share a few pictures from time to time – but today I’m catching up on a little rest and emails. They certainly fill the inbox while…

Home, but not for long!

It has been a long while since I have been away for several weekends at a time, but I am off again on Saturday, this time spending time with family. Just a few days, with crochet time in the evening. Last weekend was spent with a friend who has an amazing studio. This is just…

And I’m off again!

Just disappearing for the weekend this time. I’m off to work with a friend using fabric, threads and, of course, yarn! We will also be working on her new website.  I’m taking some of my hand dyed fabrics and threads, and also some crochet. This will come back finished  and I will also be working…

Relax!

I ran out of time to finish my stress buster and had no room for it in my suitcase. However, this grew magically while I spent some time with our daughter  I have written elsewhere about our little trip, but progress on the above was so good that I have started this while I consider…

Back on dry land!

Today I’m planning on returning to my main project. It’s been hanging fire for a while as I wanted to keep it under wraps while I was away from home with its intended recipient. Returning to an Ocean theme is appropriate as I have just spent four days on the water.   Blue seas and…

Texture

Tea Time

Tea time passes without recognition….. Coffee, however, is celebrated with peace and solitude 😉 (Posted late for National Crochet Month due to unforseen circumstances – more to follow….)

Weather

It’s March, and spring is here. To be honest – spring began in January. We have had bluebells flowering since then – bulbs were early, everything seemed out of ‘kilter’. Today is glorious. The sky is blue – as you can see from the above The second photo shows part of the view from my…

Gratitude

I’ve been contemplating gratitude. I have so much – and am so grateful. A friend of ours has cancer. A brain tumour has been removed – now radiotherapy begins. Once that is complete they begin to treat his lung cancer. A widower, he had no family until he remarried a widow with no children. Thankfully…

Back to front

It’s usual to begin with the inspiration and work towards the finished item. This is how I have always worked but today I was taken aback by a corner of the garden. Michaelmas Daisies. I thought I had photographed the violet ones too, but I didn’t   The colours reminded me of my current c2c….

S L O W L Y Does it!

No need to rush. I’ll get there in the end. Just a few rows. I intended to post this yesterday – but I had a long day out instead! This was my view at breakfast time. I loved the way the lights from the serving area reflected as though in the trees. Shame it was…
